A Visit to Haji Ali

Its this place in Mumbai which attracts people from all stratas of society. The journey to this place starts with the wordly dirt around...which one leaves while entering the only road through the Arabian sea to this holy place , the Mosque of Peer ji Ali. One cannot but help the feeling of fear enter the heart when passing through the mysteriously violent sea...(I have visited this place in the monsoons)
But as soon I entered this holy temple of muslims, I was washed over by this beautiful thought that whatever I ask for will be granted, any wish, any prayer....I guess this particular feeling brings so many hindus and christians and parsis to this holy island in sea....
Just five minutes walk from the yet another famous temple,The Mahalaxmi temple, we are confirmed of the fact that in our country, the hindu gods and the muslim gods can live in harmony .
